Pregnancy

This is now my third pregnancy, I have been surprised at how each pregnancy has been completely different. The first pregnancy ended after 12 weeks of illness, but even though we were heart broken we wouldn’t have had our monkey and the next baby.

When I was pregnant with Monkey he barely moved. The doctors brought him out 9 days early because of reduced movements; he was lazy. This has followed him through to being a toddler, as he has only just started walking at 22 months. The new baby is a wriggler, but we have been in hospital 4 times for bleeding, which can’t be explained; it’s just one of those things.

It’s surprising how different each pregnancy has been and how having a toddler can effect how exhausted you feel! I must say, I take my hat off to anyone with more than one child, it must be exhausting.

We chose not to find out whether we are having a girl or a boy, we found out with monkey and agreed not to with the next one. It will be an amazing surprise, but as time goes by my OCD is struggling with not being able to prepare by sorting out the clothes we will need. We have all of Monkey’s old stuff if it’s a boy, or bags of girl’s stuff from my sister, so I really want to get organised like I did with Monkey! For now a few key neutral bits (and some blue) until we meet our newest family member.

  1. Its amazing just how different one pregnancy can be to another. Its lovely to read that your pregnancy is progressing well. Im pregnant with our second one also and agree, having a toddler in tow already makes being pregnant again so much more tiring! But its a lovely experience, journey and blessing so im trying to enjoy it as much as I can 🙂 Emily #TwinklyTuesday
